Dresden Neighborhood Workshop
with Dawn White
March 4, 2023 (Saturday), –or– April 7, 2023 (Friday)
9:30am – 3:30pm
Aloha Sewing & Vacuum
WQG Members $35.00
Non-Members $40.00
Create your own delightfully wonky Dresden Neighborhood using a Dresden blade ruler, the Dresden Neighborhood pattern by Persimon Dreams, and my tips and suggestions. The height of the buildings, the shape of the roofs, and custom doors and windows are all up to you – you are the architect, contractor, and builder! Your choices of fabrics and color go a long way toward customizing your neighborhood. The mini quilt was designed to finish at 24” square but you can make yours bigger to incorporate other elements.
Skill level: confident beginner.
What will your neighborhood be? Halloween? Winter? Your hometown? College campus? Funky? Playful? Artistic? This workshop is limited to 15 students. If the class fills, we will create a waiting list and open a second class should there be enough interest. If this date isn’t good for you, ask Carol Sayles to put you on the waiting list for a possible second session. At this point, the workshop is only open to WQG members. If you are a non-member, ask to be added to the waiting list and let our registrar know you are a non-member. We’ll try our best to get everyone in!
After you register for the workshop, Carol Sayles will send you a payment link. Once you have paid, she will send you a class supply list and information about getting the pattern.

***Important Info when registering for Workshops: ***
We use a 2-step on-line registration process to enroll in workshops. Please remember that you need to have paid your membership dues for the current year in order to be eligible to attend a workshop.
The process is as follows:
- Click on the workshop link button above (right below the workshop description) and you will be directed to complete a registration form which is submitted to the Registrar.
- The registrar will review your request and if there is room in the workshop an email will be sent to you which gives you a link to make payment through the portal. If not, you will be placed on a wait list. Please remember that you are not registered in the class until you make payment and receive a confirmation email and receipt.
If you need assistance to register or to pay by check or cash, please contact the registrar directly to make arrangements.
Workshop Cancellation Policy
If a participant finds it necessary to cancel, they need to contact the registrar as soon as possible so the seat may potentially be offered to someone else. If the cancellation is 3 weeks or more prior to the workshop, a refund will be issued. If it is less than 3 weeks prior to the workshop, no refund will be issued. However, the member cancelling may gift or sell their space to the next person on the waiting list. If there is not a waiting list they can gift or sell to a person of their choosing.
Non-Member Participation in Workshops
Workshops are offered to members at a very reasonable cost, as a benefit of membership. Members will be given the first opportunity to register. For most workshops, three weeks prior to the workshop, IF space is available, non-members will be permitted to register at a slightly higher cost. This is subject to the discretion of the Program Chair and Registrar.
