How to sign up for Trudy's Workshop
Fridays- July 23rd AND July 30th (each session will be 9am-noon)
Saturdays- July 24th AND July 31st (each session will be 9am-noon)
Trudy Cleveland will be speaking for our July 19th Zoom guild meeting. She will also be doing 2 workshops for us, titled, “Shoot Your Quilt”.
The cost for the 6 hr workshop is $45.00. (The identical workshops run frequently on her website, and cost $55.00).Both workshops are identical but are limited to 15 students (so we booked 2 because we know you’ll love her!). The workshops are 6 hrs, split into (2) 3-hr sessions.Fridays- July 23rd AND July 30th (each session will be 9am-noon)Saturdays- July 24th AND July 31st (each session will be 9am-noon)We are unable to accommodate requests to participate in one Friday and one Saturday. You must take both Fridays, OR both Saturdays.
PAID MEMBERS of the guild for the 2021-2022 membership year will be able to register for workshops on our new website (link) between July 1, 2021 and July 20, 2021. AFTER July 20th, remaining slots will be made available on Trudy’s website. If there are openings, members as well ad non-members can register on Trudy’s website for $55.
Trudy is both a professional photographer and longarmer. She has been taking pictures of quilts using her smartphone and using its’ hidden features in order to get the most out of her phone camera.
She will show us how to use our smartphone to take professional looking images of our quilts. She will cover topics of:
Why you should take photographs of your quilts,
How to take professional images,
What to do with the images you take
2 Three Hour sessions
1st Session: Instruction on taking photographs with smartphone including:
Whole quilt view, Close-up view, Portrait view, Back of Quilt , Label
2nd session: Editing with smartphone
Selecting Best images of 1st session we will adjust:
Crop, Exposure, Contrast, Saturation and Brilliance
using your smartphone.
At the completion of workshop you will be able to shoot an image and make adjustments
to the image in order to achieve professional results of your quilts.
