Klum House Fremont Tote Workshop

All kits are complete with everything you need to make the Fremont bag. All of the materials used will be pre-cut by the Klum House staff so we can just start sewing! Ellie will bring all the tools needed. There is a short supply list that you will receive when you register for the class. Our Registrar will send you a payment link for the class when you register. You will also need to purchase a kit.

All students must purchase their kit from Klum House.

For a cost-saving option, Ellie has kits available that have a small imperfection, such as a small scuff. Since these can’t be sold as first quality, they will be offered at a discounted price. There will be a variety of colors offered and you will purchase them from Ellie at the workshop.

Ellie also sells all of the tools that she uses, but you will NOT need to purchase any of them for the class. Ellie will provide the needed tools for the workshop.

Structured Improv Medallion Quilt Workshop

Have you ever wanted to try making an improv quilt but didn’t know where to start?
This is a fun class where you will learn a technique for working without a pattern, using simple math and combining a variety of blocks to make a 15”x18” wall quilt. We will be creating several different kinds of blocks, such as flying geese, half square triangles, log cabins and others, as well as some new ones, and working with a design wall to configure them into a pleasing little quilt. A small portable design wall will be provided for in-class use.

NOTE: Paulina taught this class several times last year, and is the class that she uses as a springboard for future classes that expand on the technique. It’s a good beginning, and quilters who aready took the class are welcome to take it again. (Maybe finish the one you started last year !!)
